Child Nutritionist

Image
Child nutrition is getting proper focus in the development discourse of Bangladesh. Studies suggest that interventions related to Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) and Social Mobilisation are instrumental in addressing malnutrition. To extending understanding of nutrition, Primary School Forums were formed under an EU-funded project titled ‘Food Security 2012 Bangladesh-Ujjibito’, implemented by PKSF < www.pksf-bd.org >. These forums aim to improve their knowledge of nutrition by establishing well-equipped nutritional corners. An independent evaluation reveals that primary school students, most of whom are under 10, are worked as ambassadors for promoting nutritional education at the family level. Anecdotal evidence suggests that early orientation on nutrition has positive effects on children’s later lives. The attached document portrayed some facts related to that intervention.
