Poverty and Development

Many people dislike change. Though it does provide a challenge for us, the reality is that we need to accept change to go forward in this dynamic world. Our lives and livelihoods are different compared to when we were young. Time brings change that includes new technology, perspectives, values, choices, preferences, beliefs, and, above all, the ways people do their everyday jobs. If opportunities exist, there may be reasons for us to embrace ourselves in this way so that we can put up with the changes that frequently occur around us. To begin with, we might think about acknowledging the reality of heterogeneity in order to provide a place for interaction for a person, a family, a group, or a nation. So that everyone involved in the process can recognize the differences in viewpoints and ways of doing things, we need to understand each other and the various patterns of the process.

  জীবনের বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ে পরিবারের নিকটতম সদস্য, অসংখ্য বন্ধু-বান্ধব, আত্নীয়-স্বজন, সহকমীঁদের নিকট থেকে অবিরতভাবে পেয়েছি অফুরন্ত সহযোগিতা, অতুলনীয় স্নেহ, ভালোবাসা, শ্রদ্ধা, প্রশংসা - আমার জন্মদিনে আপনাদের/তোমাদের অকৃত্রিম ও স্বার্থহীন ভালোবাসা ও শুভেচ্ছার জন্য আন্তরিক কৃতজ্ঞতা। আনুষ্ঠানিক ‘দিবস উদযাপন’ এবং আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ‘পুরস্কার প্রদান’/‘গিফট প্রদান’-এর বিষয়টি ‘নব্য উদারতাবাদ’, ‘অসমতা’ ও ‘রাজনৈতিক অর্থনীতি ’র সাথে অনেকাংশে সম্পৃক্ত বলে অনেকে মনে করেন, আমারও সেটি মনে হয়। আপনাদের/তোমাদের কথা প্রায় ‍সবসময় আমার মনে পড়ে, মনে থাকে – প্রকাশ হয়তো সেভাবে করা হয়না। অসমতার এ বিশ্বে সমতা আনয়নে আরো সোচ্চার হওয়া এবং এ বিশ্বকে আগামী প্রজন্মের জন্য বাসযোগ্য হিসেবে রেখে যাওয়ার প্রচেষ্টা আরও জোরদার করার আন্দোলনে আমি আপনাদের/তোমাদের সাথে একজন সহকমীঁ হিসেবে আরও সক্রিয়ভাবে কাজ করে যেতে চাই। আমিত্ব প্রশমন করে বহুত্বে মনোনিবেশ করবো। শ্রেষ্ঠত্বের ধারনা বাদ দিয়ে অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক ও অংশগ্রহণমূলক কর্মকান্ডের মাধ্যমে সকলের সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টায় প্রতিষ্ঠিত হোক একটি মানবিক বিশ্ব- এ প্রত্যাশা রইলো। আপনারা/তোমরা সকলে
